Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a black grape variety; it is one of the most famous worldwide. the bunch is medium and elongated. The grain is spherical, small with thin skin. The pulp is mildly astringent.

Like the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, they are in the same Cabernet family. Cabernet Franc wine has less body, less color and it is less acidic but it is more aromatic. So it is used in rackings or cuts to soften the Cabernet Sauvignon aggression, intense color and to accelerate aging. Some flavors that this variety can develop are spicy, such as snuff, raspberries, cassis, and sometimes even violets.
